Sonoma County while highlighting the great diversity of disciplines that set
the county apart today. For the horse enthusiast, Ms. Smith has created a

What a beautiful book! It certainly is something to
treasure. Please pass along my congratulations to Wanda. Her presentation and
professionalism have contributed to an outstanding coverage of the horse world
in Sonoma County, We loved her note at the front - adding a personal touch and
connection.
Giving the book, "Wine Country Horses," as
Christmas presents was the best idea I have had in ages. Captivating,
Interesting, Colorful, Informative, and Beautiful, are just a few accolades I
received after presenting this gift. Recently visiting a friend, I saw the book
under lock and key standing up for view in a prized position in her valuable
library. The California Teamster Award of the Year recipient, who is 80 years
old, said he opened the book and could not put it down until he was finished!

The Sonoma County Horse Council has a deep
appreciation for Wanda Smith's book because it mirrors the goal of the Council,
namely honoring all the diverse disciplines and breeds in our industry. The
Horse Council also thinks that showcasing the number one and number two
strongest economic engines in Sonoma County surely is beneficial for both the
wine industry and the horse industry.

Anyone who cares passionately about the
ties between people, the land on which they live, and the horses which have
enriched their daily lives in both practical and aesthetic ways will love this
book. Sonoma County with its unique past as both a wine region and a horseman's
haven has emerged as one of the world's most desirable places to live life to
its fullest. This book honors the contribution of horses to that past in the
hopes that we will never forget how truly important horses are to Sonoma's
present and its future.
